WalletConnect Protocol

WalletConnect is an open protocol to communicate securely between Wallets and Dapps . These payloads are symmetrically encrypted through a shared key between the two peers.

WalletConnect is not an app, but an open protocol to communicate securely between Wallets and Dapps. Currently more than 170 wallet apps uses the WalletConnect protocol

How WPSmartContracts uses WalletConnect?

WPSmartContracts creates a connection between WalletConnect protocol and their decentralized applications by using Web3 JavaScript code for interactions between the wallet apps and Smart Contracts.

WalletConnect is used in the plugin for frontend interactions. The end-user can interact with the deployed smart contracts using any compatible WalletConnect app, like trust wallet or any other.

The most popular wallet using the WalletConnect protocol is TrusWallet with more than 25 million users at the moment of writing.

Trust wallet allows you to interact with the Blockchain using your mobile phone, either via QR Scanning or using the dApp browser.
