ERC-1155 is a standard that succeeded the creation of ERC-20 and ERC-721, seeking to integrate in a single smart contract the benefits of both fungible and non-fungible tokens, or even semi-fungible tokens.
Initially it was developed as an idea to implement multiple different types of tokens in gaming platforms, however in practice its most popular use has been to create collections of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with the ability to handle multiple copies of the same item.
In this way, multiple NFT collectors can have one or more copies of the same item and trade them separately.
The YUZU smart contract is an implementation of the ERC-1155 multi-token standard, based on OpenZeppelin implementation.
Note: Yuzu does not include marketplace features, however it is 100% compatible with other popular marketplaces like OpenSea.
